Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters

A dissipating front near Oahu will drift westward over Kauai tonight and Saturday as strong high pressure far northwest of the state creeps eastward. Trade winds will build to moderate to strong levels near Kauai today and across the rest of the island chain tonight and Saturday. The resurgent trade winds will hold through at least Monday. North swell will build today and will become large late Saturday into Sunday, likely producing surges in north facing harbors.
