Flooding Continues in the Central U.S.; Critical Fire Weather in the Plains

From the Lower Mississippi into the Ohio Valley, widespread moderate to major river flooding is ongoing and will continue through at least late week. Cold temperatures, near or below freezing Wednesday morning will be felt across areas that were impacted by the recent multi-day storms. Gusty crosswinds this afternoon and Wednesday afternoon could increase the risk of blow over for high profile vehicles in the western foothills.
Gusty winds will spread over the area on Wednesday, strongest along the western foothills.
