Flooding Continues in the Central U.S.; Critical Fire Weather in the Plains

From the Lower Mississippi into the Ohio Valley, widespread moderate to major river flooding is ongoing and will continue through at least late week. Cold temperatures, near or below freezing Wednesday morning will be felt across areas that were impacted by the recent multi-day storms. Temperatures across the Central California Interior are expected to warm by as much as 15 degrees above normal. The probability of afternoon high temperatures reaching 85 degrees Thursday is 70-90% for areas from Fresno County, southward. Heat Risk is minor. Yet, it is NEVER safe to leave a toddler, disabled person or pet locked in a car. Drink plenty of water.
