Breezy and gusty conditions are forecast across east central Florida today, along with a 20 to 30 percent chance for rain along the coast. Poor to hazardous beach and boating conditions are also anticipated at local beaches and across the local Atlantic waters.
A Beach Hazards statement is in effect for all local Atlantic beaches for poor beach conditions. A moderate risk of rip currents will be present, along with a strong longshore current and rough surf. Always heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags, and signs.
Poor to hazardous boating conditions are forecast to develop across the local Atlantic waters. A Small Craft Advisory goes into effect this afternoon, and continues through Thursday night.
